North London man ‘suddenly very old’
‘A North London man has baffled scientists and defied established concepts about the passage of time by managing to age a whole decade in one day. Charlie Dawson awoke this morning feeling inexplicably much much older and wondering if he might have a little nap this afternoon.
The founder of mystery business ‘The Founation’, one of the top companies in its field, whatever that may be, had been previously into football and trendy clothes was unable to explain the sudden change. ‘I had been planning to leap into my sports car and just whizz off to who knows where, maybe take some really cool pics and listen to some trendy music on the way. But then I noticed it was drizzling and I became worried about catching a chill. Then I noticed that someone had blocked my neighbour’s drive and I tutted at that, and then I saw some youths eating in the street and I wondered what had happened to the idea of decorum and good manners…’
Scientists believe that the mystery ageing process may not be unconnected with the fact that today is Mr Dawson’s 44th birthday. ‘Oh I can’t cope with all these newfangled scientific theories’ chuckled Mr Dawson, as he put on his gardening gloves. ‘Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a bit of a busy morning. We’ve got some family members coming over at the weekend and I have to remember to set the recorder for Antiques Roadshow.’
