France to be ‘constantly reminded’ it lost 2012 Olympics
Plans for the London Olympics in 2012 are being revised as concerns grow that the French are forgetting that the former favourites to win the games were beaten by London.
Lord Coe, who led Britain’s successful Olympic bid, said; ‘In six years time, when all the athletes are competing in the 2012 games, no one will remember how devastated the French were to lose out to the English. So it will be our job to keep reminding them.’
The official title for the games will be ‘The 2012 London (not Paris) Olympics’. Videos of the moment the French delegation learnt of their defeat will be endlessly played in the Olympic Village, while the opening ceremony will feature hundreds of London school children running into the stadium, releasing doves of peace and then kicking a cartoon Frenchman up the arse. ‘We want these games to be different’ said Lord Coe – it’s not about the sporting ideal, nor about different nations coming together. It’s about really pissing off the French.’
