A Glastonbury man has claimed that the sudden appearance of what he calls ‘road circles’ are the work of alien visitors to Planet Earth. Mr Philip Brun who runs a new-age bookshop and alternative healing centre says that there is no other logical explanation for why a normal crossroads should suddenly be mysteriously replaced with the highly symbolic road shape.

Summoning journalists to the scene for a press conference, Mr Brun defied the assembled witnesses to come up with any other explanation for the ‘road circle’ they saw before them.
‘It’s a mini-roundabout’ sighed one reporter.
‘Call it what you will. But when viewed from up the sky, these beacons appear as perfect circles. Who else could have put them there but alien visitors from outer space?’
‘How about the local council?’
‘Oh yeah, right!’ he scoffed. ‘And I suppose that explains all the other road circles that have appeared all over the country does it?’
‘Yes. The local authority or the Highways Agency regularly put in mini-roundabouts to ease traffic flow at a busy road junctions.’

Mr Brun went quiet for a moment and then attempted to claim he had actually seen the aliens putting in the road circles and that they were green and spoke a strange language. On further questioning it transpired that only their safety jackets were green, and that the language was Polish.
