Offer of massage ‘was without any sexual undercurrent’, claims student

Confusion still surrounds events last night at Loughbourgh University Halls of Residence after eighteen year old Sara Makepeace complained to fellow student Glynn Jones of tension in her shoulders.

‘I’d come over to his room at the end of a particularly hard month; I’d found being away from my family for the first time very stressful and only the other day my boyfriend from back home phoned to finish our two year relationship. I was knotted up and thought a good back rub would really cheer me up’.
The two had been neighbours at the Halls and over the last couple of weeks had become quite close. Sara said, ‘I felt the time was right for us to move our friendship on to the next level – to one where we can ask for cheeky favours that might put the other person out a bit.’

Glynn, 19, stated, ‘We were on the sofa watching a film together when Sara started to complain about her tension, I know that she’d been under a lot of pressure recently and was feeling vulnerable and lonely, so I offered to do her back for her. I will admit I had an ulterior motive. I’m on a Sports Science degree; we don’t really study massage till year two, second term but if I could get some practice in now it will help with my final mark. She was ever so pleased but asked if she could take her top off as she didn’t want to get it creased. It did seem an unnecessary hassle but I though I would let it go, I haven’t had much experience with girls but I do know they can be fuss pots’.

Sara continued, ‘After about five minutes my shoulders felt great, but he couldn’t reach my lower back from the sitting position, that’s when I suggested we continued this on the bed.’
‘Sara was very sweet and complimented me on my manly, but gentle hands,’ said Glynn. ‘You don’t often get compliments from my friends in the rugby team, so I suppose I was flattered’.
Glynn then remembered the sensuous massage oils he’d been given as a joke last year. They were coming up to their sell-by date so he decided it would be sensible to use them now. ‘He said I’d better unclip my bra so as not to get oil on the strap. It was at that point I knew he was really looking out for me’.

Afterwards Sara was so relaxed she asked if she could just kip down in his bed for the night. ‘It was a bit of a tight squeeze but with all the wine and everything we were asleep within minutes.’
