Court order forces Nick Robinson from outside 10 Downing Street
The strange man seen constantly loitering outside the home of the Prime Minister has been served with a court order to get him to move on. Nick Robinson, of no fixed abode, will soon be evicted from his spot outside No.10 Downing Street where he has become a familiar sight over recent years. Downing Street officials have complained that he’s there every time anyone goes in and out of the door, at any time of the day or night.
‘At first we thought that he must be some sort of anti-war protestor but he didn’t have any banners or a tent or anything, so we think he might just be homeless.’ Time lapse video footage shows Nick barely moving from the spot in London SW1 that he has very much made his own.
Nick himself admits he just has nothing better to do. ‘Some middle aged men are into train spotting, others are into ornithology. I’m just obsessed with politicians. When a car pulls up or a minister strolls by and that door opens – I can’t explain the rush I get.’
It is not the first time there has been an attempt to get a man evicted from Downing Street. Last week a group of cabinet ministers went through the door of Number 10, apparently intent on getting a man on the other side to move on.
