BBC launches BBC BBC News 24 Channel
The BBC is to launch a new 24-hour rolling news station dedicated to coverage of scandals at the corporation. The channel, set to broadcast from Wednesday, has prompted 30,000 complaints from people concerned that they might be offended when they actually do see it, and will launch with an exclusive report on the resignation of the senior executives responsible and an apology for ‘errors in judgment’ in its creation.
BBC BBC News 24 Gold, looking back at previous BBC controversies is also to be made available, commencing with a season on the personal indiscretions of former Blue Peter presenters.
