Struggling banks to take in laundry

ironing1As the bad financial news continues, the City was rife with reports that many banks have now turned to offering laundry services as one of a number of plans to help bring in that extra bit of cash.

Staff at cash-strapped branches across the country have been seen furtively returning bedding to local hotels and offering to iron ten shirts for £10.‘Fair play to ‘em, they’re just doing what they can to get by,’ commented unlicensed mini-cab operator Giles Peterson from his manager’s office in Barclays Bank, Hatfield.
