Traffic police discover ‘Little Princess’ not actually on board

Should only be used by royalty
The ‘Little Princess on Board’ sign in a family’s Vauxhall Astra has led the parents to be charged with deception and their eight-year-old daughter Chanelle to be arrested on suspicion of impersonating royalty. The trouble began after a police patrol car spotted the sign as the family drove on the M6, turned on its flashing blue lights and sped the Morrises to their destination. However, officers became suspicious when the family thanked their police escort with a thumbs-up and a wink rather than the traditional royal wave. The charges are especially damaging for Mrs Morris whose ‘Mum’s Taxi’ sign in her Nissan Cherry has already landed her a conviction for operating without a licence.
