Britain’s internet reserves now ‘dangerously low’

the internetScientists have warned that the United Kingdom’s stocks of internet are at dangerously low levels and that urgent action must be taken to find alternative sources. The United Kingdom has no natural internet reserves of its own and has to import it from the United States and China. Large stockpiles of internet once visible outside ports such as Tilbury and Harwich are down their lowest-ever levels, with police officers guarding the remaining reserves.

BBC launches BBC BBC News 24 Channel

The BBC is to launch a new 24-hour rolling news station dedicated to coverage of scandals at the corporation. The channel, set to broadcast from Wednesday, has prompted 30,000 complaints from people concerned that they might be offended when they actually do see it, and will launch with an exclusive report on the resignation of the senior executives responsible and an apology for ‘errors in judgment’ in its creation.

Police thwart ‘Party Popper Bomber’

Police after the eventA suicide bomber primed to detonate 500 party poppers in a crowded London tourist spot failed because her explosives were quickly spotted and identified by a vigilant police officer, said a Home Office spokesman.

The terrorist suspect, who is now being held at London’s Paddington Green Police Station, managed to set off only one of the poppers before being wrestled to the ground by an off-duty police officer shopping with his wife in Covent Garden. ‘It was lucky she was wearing the poppers outside her burka,’ said PC Bill Watson, ‘otherwise it could have been 9/11 all over again.’
