'Steve' has really made a name for himself

Colleagues at Glass Ceiling Conservatories in Cheltenham agreed today that any opportunity to correct the managing director’s impression that Martin Henderson’s name is ‘Steve’ had probably now passed.  Henderson, whose quiet brand of diligence initially cultivated a low profile among senior managers, capped an impressive first quarter of 2009 by scooping the company’s Employee of the Month Award for March, a prestigious accolade that has seen his name engraved on the winner’s plaque in the lobby of the Bristol headquarters.  Despite the mistake, Henderson has admitted considerable pride at seeing his name listed alongside greats of the company like Steve Silvaratnam, Steve Kulickowski and January’s winner Steve Allen who sadly missed yesterday’s ceremony while on maternity leave.
