Docklands Light Railway to be converted into Roller Coaster

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson confirmed today that part of the Docklands Light Railway will be converted into a giant roller coaster ride.

Announcing the new initiative, which is expected for the 2012 London Olympic Games, Mr Johnson said, ‘In these times of gloom and despondency, it is wonderful to be able to announce a gleaming new use for the redundant track which used to serve the defunct banking sector at Canary Wharf.’

Thrill seekers will be warned that the rollercoaster can go down, as well as up, but in the case of a crash, only bankers can expect to be bailed out.
