Report accuses Tory Party of ‘persistant right-wing bias’
An independent report has concluded that the Conservative Party is still prone to ‘a pernicious right-wing bias’ in its attitudes, extending to the highest levels of the party.
The report will come as a blow to David Cameron, who has been working hard to lay the reputation of the Tories as ‘the right-wing party’ to rest. Last year, Mr Cameron had proudly declared to the party conference: ‘Let’s have no more of this ‘right-of-Centre’ nonsense; from now on our policies will be driven by three things: common sense, the bleedin’ obvious and that’s it.’
A source close to the Tory leader claims that he is deeply concerned by the allegations, and will be instituting a full root and branch review, just as soon as he has signed off current policy document ‘It’s for their own good – sustainable strategies for reclaiming India.’Click to send this story to a friend
