Speed camera outside of school ‘just licence to print money’

Motorists are fuming at the positioning of a new traffic speed camera just 100m from a junior school in Waltham Forest. ‘I’ve been using this route for 15 years now to avoid the speed bumps on the high street. Now I’ve been indiscriminately fined for doing 60 in a 30 zone,’ complained Local van driver Frank Watson, ‘It’s just another form of tax on the hard-working public’.

Uproar as Wimbledon grunter caught miming

Michelle Larcher de Brito, the latest tennis grunting sensation, was booed off the court at Wimbledon yesterday when it was revealed that she was miming. The crowd turned on the teen star when her ‘wounded fox’ recording began to skip, and continued playing while she was seen to be sitting down eating an energy bar between games.

MPs sign sponsorship deals to boost income

As part of efforts by MPs to find legitimate new ways to supplement their annual salary it was announced that the showcase Prime Minister’s Questions sessions would feature sponsorship. From July, MPs from both sides of the house will be entitled to ask questions such as ‘Is the Prime Minister aware of the urgency of getting down to DFS before 4pm Sunday to catch the end of its half-price sale?’
