IKEA launches self-assembly divorce
After years of renown as the Mecca of marital discord, IKEA has finally succumbed to popular demand and produced the first flat-pack divorce.
‘The NISI is the very latest in lifestyle DIY,’ said an IKEA spokesman, who was still trying to find aisle 716B(i). ‘Conveniently located near the checkout where couples need it most, this self-assembly divorce comes complete with inane instructions, missing screws and the realisation that the thing you worked so hard to build together was actually a piece of crap that will fall apart in a few years time.’
If successful, the home furniture store hopes to expand into a range of divorce accessories, to include the UBSTARD, CSTDY BTLE and the RBUND SHG.
