MPs fight for the right to assist Gordon Brown’s career suicide

A debate is raging over whether Labour MPs should be allowed to assist their ailing leader in committing political suicide. Gordon Brown first showed signs of wanting to end his career when he insisted on becoming Prime Minister despite clearly being too weak and incompetent. A number of policy decisions have pointed to his deteriorating political health and recent polls show that he is dying on his arse.

‘Gordon’s insistance that he wants to fight on has been contradicted up by numerous career suicide attempts’ said an insider using the alias EdB. Critics of assisted career suicide argue that colleagues should make him as comfortable as possible and give him the longest political career they can. EdB disagreed, saying, ‘These people don’t realise how weak and confused Gordon has become. The kindest thing is to allow him to slip away with the few shreds of dignity he has left.’
