Springsteen nervous over East Street band plan to count themselves in

Bruce Springsteen’s and the E Street Band have hammered out a radical new proposal under which ‘The Boss’ will no longer count them in on songs. After 30 years playing together, the professional musicians are confident they can cope without him shouting ‘Two! Three! Four!’

Springsteen has also agreed not to keep punctuating Clarence Clemons’ sax solos with shouts of ‘Yeah’. But some band members felt the agreement didn’t go far enough.  ‘It would be nice if,  just once,  Bruce asked us if we were ‘feelin’ alright?!’ rather than 70,000 strangers,’ said one.
