Scientists name new heavyweight volatile element Prescottium
For many years people doubted its credibility. Some argued it shouldn't be at the table at all. Even now it only lasts a split second, with careful handling by assistants, before exploding. Chemists hope Prescottium will help give the cause of science mass appeal and BBC journalists Andrew Marr and John Humphreys have pledged never to ask any difficult questions.
