West End musical flash mobbed by commuters
Last night’s high-energy and carefully choreographed performance of Priscilla Queen of the Desert was destroyed by a motley crowd of bored commuters wandering on stage, looking up train departure information and tapping their watches.
It later emerged that the whole event was organised by South West Trains, which is promoting its new Standing Class tickets, which enable the company to save money by packing all commuters onto one carriage in order to ‘lower the company’s carbon footprint’ while increasing its sustainable profitability.
