‘I’ve been living a lie,’ reveals Mr Happy

Happiest with the other Mr Men
Mr Happy from the much-loved ‘Mr Men’ books today told reporters of the deceit that has blighted his life.
‘To be honest, I was always more gay than happy,’ admitted Mr Happy, ‘but oh no, that level of contentment just wasn’t enough for the publishers. I had to be beaming Mr Happy, but all the time I could feel the sensitive, cheerful optimist inside me just bursting to come out.’
Although scriptwriters tried to conceal his impaired merriment behind a series of ‘will they, won’t they’ storylines involving Little Miss Curious, Mr Happy called the whole thing a ‘sham’ and ‘a betrayal of the masculine ‘Mr Men’ brand’.
‘I’m glad this is all out in the open’, he said today, before returning to the cottage he shares with his long-time friend Mr Tickle.
