Man on Midnight Train to Georgia denies that ‘LA proved too much for the man’
A former passenger on the 0.04am to Georgia has decided to set the record straight about his true reasons for leaving Los Angeles.
‘I never said I wanted to be a star, so that makes the charge that I didn’t get far entirely spurious,’ he claimed. ‘As a specialist in gene splicing techniques, I always knew there was an inherent risk associated with launching an acting career. But at the point at which I was compelled to sell my old car, I realised it was a fool’s errand and elected, quite sensibly, to return to a simpler place and time.’
His wife stood by him, saying, ‘I’d rather live in his world, than live without him in mine. Even if they do all talk funny round here’.Click to send this story to a friend
