Autumn today announced that it would continue in its role of Season-In-Chief, amid growing concerns for the state of the country following Summer’s retirement.
There are already worries over Autumn’s handling of the country, with reports indicating hundreds of birds have, as threatened, started leaving the country since Autumn was elected, and many small mammals are now panic hoarding meagre food supplies for anticipated tougher times ahead.
Despite plummeting temperatures, massively reduced hours of daylight, increased rainfall and a huge rise in the insect death rate, Autumn has remained upbeat about its handling of the current situation.
‘This is a perfectly natural situation. All countries experience these sort of effects at this time of year’, said Autumn. ‘I confidently predict that things will have returned to their recent level of prosperity in time for Christmas.’
