Masterchef presenter Wallace gets detachable jaw

Food guru Greg Wallace, fruit and vegetable expert and supplier to some of the world’s top restaurants, has stunned his fans by admitting that he has undergone radical surgery to make his jaw completely detachable. Speaking from his Surrey farm, the Masterchef co-presenter revealed how this new modification allows him to ingest whole meals in one mouthful.

‘I’ve always tried to get as much onto my fork as possible, but having a detachable jaw means that I can jam entire spadefuls of food into my mouth, allowing me to get the full flavours of an entire dish all in one hit. It works a bit like a python,’ he explained, ‘I can now swallow a spatchcock chicken in one go and still have room for desert. It’s not that ground-breaking really – Oz Clarke had a similar operation a few months ago and can now guzzle a bucket of Jacob’s Creek without any of it touching the sides.’
