Cabinet proposes that radical ‘next step’ should be governing the country
Following an intense three hour cabinet meeting yesterday, the British government has embarked on a radical, election winning new initiative by turning its attentions to actually governing the country.
‘We have always concentrated on issues such as maintaining a healthy supply of sound bites, recycling initiatives, and the war against party disloyalty’ said a cabinet spokesman, ‘but now we’re almost ready to consider the needs of the country.’
Insiders believe that the Prime Minister sees this radical shift in direction as the only way to reverse the recent decline in support. ‘It will be a challenge,’ he told reporters, ‘and it is a fundamental shift for the party. But I am convinced that if we are successful, we can look inwards once more to our core values after the next election.’Click to send this story to a friend
