The British Body of War Classification today ordered the Government to change the title of the War on Terror to ‘War on Mild Peril’. The move followed complaints that the use of the word ‘terror’ before the 9pm watershed could cause anguish to younger viewers, especially to those caught up in the conflict.
‘If a 16 year old squaddie is allowed into a theatre of war to watch scenes of a graphic nature, then such experiences should at least be given a less frightening spin,’ thundered one protestor. The Government denies that it took the decision to change the title to a tamer alternative, rather than raise the minimum army recruitment age to 18.
