Ted Kennedy sets new personal best after six weeks without a drink
According to his staff, US senator Ted Kennedy today broke his own record for sobriety after going six weeks without touching a drop of alcohol. The feat breaks his previous best of five weeks and six days set in 1969 after a dip in the Chappaquiddick.
But conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh remains sceptical of Kennedy’s achievement. ‘It’s interesting that no one has seen Kennedy since his alleged sobriety streak began. I just don’t buy it. For all we know he could just be too drunk to show his face,’ said the former prescription drug addict.
