Teenager ‘puzzled’ by tedium of real life compared to reality tv
Joanne Preston, 14, has spoken bravely of her ‘disappointment’ after her real life turned out to be less exciting than reality TV led her to expect.
‘I guess I’m the unlucky one,’ Joanne told reporters. ‘I spend all my time going to and from school, doing homework, and interacting with other children my age. I never get to spend six weeks on a desert island, I’ve never been spontaneously given a fortune by a dinner lady who turned out to be a millionaire, and none of my friends are Paris Hilton.’
Joanne admits she has high hopes for the future, however. ‘I live at home with my mum and dad, brother Matt and our dog,’ she said. ‘But I’m fairly sure there is a team of producers in the loft who’ll soon be sending in fifteen ignorant, uncouth housemates, so my life can just be normal like everybody else’s.’Click to send this story to a friend
