Easter Egg manufacturers predict bumper Christmas
With Christmas only a few weeks away, Easter Egg manufacturers are working round the clock to ensure their eggs are on shelves by mid-December. ‘If we want to ensure good retail traction in Easter Eggs then its important we make the most of this brief five month window of opportunity’ explained one manufacturer.
A spokesperson for Tesco agreed that their stores were giving its customers what they want, ‘When we started putting up the Christmas decorations back in August lots of people were saying, ‘nice one, you’ll have the Easter Eggs out next.’ and our company policy states quite clearly that no irony is allowed in store.’
