Redhill aghast at not being listed in ‘Crap Towns’

Redhill’s council is considering suing author Sam Jordison for not including it in three separate editions of ’Crap Towns’. They claim that the East Surrey town is a far bigger cesspit than many of the supposed worst 50 places to live in the UK.

‘What criteria did he use to measure crapness?’ demanded council leader Kyle Morton. ‘Hull came bottom – Hull! It’s got top flight football and rugby teams. OK, Coventry’s a toilet but it was bombed to oblivion in the war.’

Redhill has no such excuse, added Morton. ‘Just because it’s in Surrey doesn’t mean it’s not a festering sewer inhabited by feral trolls. I mean, the book was published five years ago and we’ve only just found out – that’s how crap we are in Redhill.’
