CSI technicians sanctioned for not following procedures

US Department of Justice officials have withdrawn certification from two CSI labs after inspectors found technicians working in what were described as ‘poorly lit and bizarrely coloured’ laboratories.

One said: ‘These guys were hopeless. We found one looking for blood stains on a dark shirt in a lab bathed in red light. In normal light, we found that the killer had actually written his name on it in blood.’

Supervisors were also criticised. One inspector in Miami, known as Caine, reportedly spent more time trying to think up pithy remarks than following proper procedure, inspectors said. ‘And we’re not too hot about that weird, sexually agressive hands on hips thing he does either.’
