Local father invited to give ‘There are children in Africa’ Christmas lecture
Local father of four John Benson has been invited by the Royal Institute to give their prestigious Christmas lecture after an impressive demonstration at the dinner table last Tuesday on the subject of ‘there are children in Africa who could live for a week on the food you’ve left on that plate.’
The Mould Impression worker from Wellingborough now has the opportunity to present his scientific findings to a hall full of precocious children from well-to-do families who have long been sighted as the cause for starvation across the globe.
‘We are looking forward to hearing John’s obviously well researched and scientifically based findings,’ said a spokesman for the institute. ‘This is a problem the world has long been seeking a solution to and to find someone so passionate and informed as John is a real coup for the Institute – and if it gets my kids eating their sprouts this Christmas then I’m all for it.’Click to send this story to a friend
