Wales retaliates by paving over a forest the size of the Amazon
The Welsh have finally reacted to constant comparisons about their geographical size and the rate of deforestation and have paved over a forest the size of the Amazonian jungle.
‘We’re sick and tired of being used as a unit of eco terrorism,’ said a Dai Williams from the Welsh Forestry Commission, ‘and it’s time we stood up for ourselves, and gave johnny foreigner a bloody nose.’
Just for once we wanted people to say ‘Every year in Wales, they re-pave an area a size of the Amazon rainforest.’ Following the deforestation and paving over incident, an unattributed local was reported to have said ‘tidy’.
