World leaders hail Plaid Cymru manifesto

Excitement filled the air as leaders of the G8 countries arrived for the launch of Plaid Cymru’s election manifesto on Anglesey.

Barack Obama said: ’I am deeply humbled to meet Ieuan Wyn Jones. I strongly support all his policies, especially the removal of temporary traffic lights outside Asda in Aberystwyth.’

China’s president Hu Jintao spoke of his desire to help fund low-emission tractors to enable Welsh farmers to clog up country roads all summer, while Russia’s Dmitry Medvedev denied accusations of ignoring vowel abuse accusations in return for access to Welsh slate reserves.

Concluded BBC political editor Nick Robinson concluded: ‘It seems certain that Plaid Cymru will be swept to power as a result of our love of the beautiful Welsh accent and, most crucially, the introduction of free parking at KwikSave in Bangor.’
