Paint Manufacturers admit ‘There are only seven colours’
Still won't find one your wife likes
An industry spokesman confessed today that there only seven colours in the rainbow and all the others are just made up to sell paint.
‘What is Raspberry Bellini, Teal Tension or Pale Citrus? It’s just red, blue and yellow. We started making them up as a joke one lunch time, like thinking up titles for porn films, and somehow it just caught on.’
‘We discovered we could make up words like Beige, Buff and Taupe, and then up the price by placing random words in front of them like Raw, Dark and Burnt.’
‘To be honest we can’t believe people still buy into this bullshit. Oh, and by bullshit I mean just plain, simple brown.’
