PM confirms Trident replacement to be paid for through lottery funding
Prime Minister David Cameron revealed today that the estimated £20 Billion cost of upgrading Britain’s Trident nuclear submarine missile system will be funded entirely through the National Lottery.
Cameron also announced the launch of a new range of thermonuclear-themed scratch-cards. ‘The player will be given a number of panels, or launch keys, to choose from. If he chooses three identical launch keys he will be eligible for a prize, ranging from £10 cash to a kilogram of weapons-grade plutonium.
The upgrade of Trident will also feature as part of a major lottery-themed poster campaign, in which a large finger points threateningly over Tehran, above the slogan ‘It could be U(235).’Click to send this story to a friend
