Gangs of ruthless Labour activists ‘grooming’ vulnerable Lib Dems
A leading charity has today warned that well-organised gangs of Labour activists have been grooming vulnerable Liberal Democrats in towns and cities across the country.
A spokesman for the Lib Dem Protection League said: ‘Growing numbers of at-risk Lib Dems are reporting having been approached by men in suits with promises of power, responsibility and possibly a nice comfy seat in their new office on election night, 2015.’
‘We are still attempting to establish a pattern to this worrying development,’ said a police spokesman, ‘but we do believe that it can be traced back to some time last spring, around the same time as the televised election debates.’
Former Home Secretary Jack Straw added that anyone with mildly socialist tendencies was seen as an easy target by gangs of Labour members, an accusation that has drawn criticism from Tony Blair who denied that anyone in his party had ever been a socialist.
