Bullying charity to close after being picked on by other charities
It was announced today that the National Bullying Helpline would close with immediate effect.
A spokesman for the Swindon-based charity said that they could no longer continue their work because they were ‘being picked on by a mental health and a homelessness charity,’ and that as a result, they faced serious funding short-falls. ‘They kept saying if we didn’t give them our money they’d kick our heads in.’
When asked for comment, the Charity Commission for England and Wales said, ‘We’re sure the other charities only meant it as a bit of fun, though maybe it went a bit too far. If we’re honest, though, the Helpline brought a lot of these problems on themselves by whining all the time and being such ruddy freaks.’
