Mr Monopoly frontrunner to be IMF chief
Mr Monopoly, famed as the face of popular board game is the shock favourite to take up the position of head of the International Monetary Fund following the arrest and resignation on its former leader, Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
For decades Mr Monopoly name has been synonymous with careful banking and expert knowledge of the hotel and housing market. Question have been raised on his perception of being soft on crime, as he is a big advocate of allowing people out of jail free, but this has ultimately been trumped buy his knowledge of real estate all over the world, as well as fictional areas such as Springfield and Mordor.
‘We are currently at a delicate stage of financial negotiations’ said an IMF spokesman. ’The other contenders are saying that Strauss-Kahn can’t just give all his money and property to his best friend now that he is out.’
