‘Crime Maps’ hit by vandals as cock-and-balls daubed across UK
The Government’s much-vaunted online crime map, pin-pointing the locations of crimes committed in the UK, has become the victim of pranksters after a string of cock-and-balls, misspelled obscenities and other graffiti appeared on the map.
‘We first noticed a problem with the maps when a childish penis appeared on the outskirts of Liverpool, pointing in the direction of Manchester and discharging what appeared to be a clear liquid,’ said Detective Inspector Burrows. ‘This was followed by a string of copycat burglaries in Wigan whose precise locations on the map, when joined together like a dot-to-dot, appeared to spell ‘Scouse Twats’.’
In other incidents various speeding offences in Milton Keynes suggest that ‘Baz Roolz’, while vandals have attempted to alter town names in Penistone and Cockermouth. All police leave has been cancelled in Scunthorpe.
Police are now wondering how best to record these incidents on the crime maps.
