David Cameron has revealed that a copy of Nick Clegg’s conference speech has been attached to his Downing Street fridge.
Liberal Democrats had hoped that the speech would be used by their coalition partners to inform current and future government policy but Cameron has placated many doubters by reminding them that the fridge door is a very special place indeed and that he will see the speech there everyday and smile.
‘Nick is 44 now and both me and George are so proud of what he’s capable of, he’s much more advanced than many Liberal Democrats of the same age,’ explained Cameron. ‘Obviously the speech is largely illegible scrawlings, ill-thought out policy and pandering to the centre, but the use of underlining in both red and green of certain parts really shows a creative mind. I think we may have a little advertising executive or brand manager on our hands!’
