Human rights activists have accused the X-Factor of exploiting the old and vulnerable by repeatedly wheeling out Louis Walsh every single Saturday just because the nation enjoys pointing and laughing at him. The mental health of Mr Walsh, 107, has been under serious review following his continual and passionate insistance that Jedward had ‘lots and lots of talent’.
A spokesman for Help The Aged added; ‘unfortunately, some of us don’t age gracefully, but to publicly humiliate this fragile, delusional man with obviously serious problems is not the action of a civilised society and should not be allowed, even if does make really good telly.’
However, Simon Cowell, whose production company is behind the show, released a statement that after ‘much medical testing and advice’ Louis Walsh has been passed fighting fit to perform again. ‘He ‘owned’ that chair behind the judges desk,’ Cowell added, ‘he ‘totally nailed’ a decent glib platitude every week, and it’s not impossible that he even ‘could make it to the final’.
Mr Walsh was unavailable for comment as he was currently whizzing around the rehearsal room pretending to be a big pink helicopter.
