House price soars 30% at 25 Acacia Avenue
There was positive news for the UK’s housing market today, as the estimated price of a 4-bed semi in Woking soared by 30%.
The dramatic rise at 25 Acacia Avenue is being attributed to a new combi boiler and the eldest child leaving the property to discover himself in Wantage. “It’s a traditional property benefiting from modern features, and smells much more pleasant since Brian moved out,” explained Mrs Downing, the house’s wife.
It’s not all good news for struggling home owners, though. House prices at 39 Acacia Avenue slumped by 12%, after the owner painted their front door orange, and the family opposite bought a caravan. “It’s too early to say whether this negative trend will continue,” said one expert. “But the neighbours are thinking about getting some chickens, so this negative trend will continue.”
