St Pauls ‘forgets’ Remembrance Sunday
‘What, with all the tents outside and the dean leaving, the fact that we needed to hold a Remembrance Sunday service completely slipped my mind’ said red-faced Dr Richard Chartres, the Bishop of London.
How can we be expected to keep up? It’s not just the tents, we’ve been flat out trying to fathom out what Christingle means and whether we should add yet another ceremony for that into our already packed ecclesiastical schedule.
We just forgot. Simple as that. If only there was some sort of clue in the ceremony’s name, or something. Or some token people could wear, to flag it up. Oh, hang on…’
