Lower French retirement age means Hollande out of a job in two years
French President Francois Hollande admits lowering the retirement age to 60 was a ‘slight error’ as he is due to turn sixty on August 2014, almost three years before his Presidential term expires.
‘Merde!’ said Hollande. ‘I hadn’t thought of that. And my Vice-President said it was such a good idea.’
Pro-austerity leaders welcomed the news, with David Cameron interrupting a game of Call of Duty 3 to say ‘Ha ha ha ha ha … bang, bang’, and Angela Merkel asking ‘How do you say ‘schadenfreude’ in French.’
