Garden centre to start selling plants

Greenfingers Garden centre on the outskirts of Hertford have announced that they will be selling a selection of plants, shrubs, saplings and plant pots. These will be available for sale alongside their more usual stock of mildly twee ephemera.

‘We just felt we needed something new to complement our very reasonably priced selection of whale noise CDs, greetings cards, beeswax candles, giant copulating models made out of giant nuts and bolts and tinned shortbread’ explained store manager Greg Lucas. ‘Plus we’re able to sell a lot of the flora in our back yard, so we won’t have to remove many of our existing lines to make room for them. Mind you we’ll probably give our aromatherapy oils section the chop… but that’s only because they smell like shit.’
