McCain praises Obama’s ‘natural sense of rhythm’

Senator John McCain has changed tactics in the Presidential election campaign, and is now heaping praise on his Democratic rival, instead of attempting to score cheap political points in the race for the White House. It is presumed that the new constructive approach from the Republican nominee is an attempt to raise the standard of political debate and to send a message that McCain is a positive and principled politician who is demonstrably concentrating on the issues rather than resorting to innuendo or smears. Praising Barack Obama for his ‘natural sense of rhythm’ and ‘effusive dancing style’ he added ‘I bet if he turned his attention to soul music or rap – he’d be really good at that as well. Obama is good at so many things.’

A puzzled Barack Obama welcomed the new positive tone being set by his opponent, but explained that he had never thought much about his ‘sense of rhythm’ and wasn’t aware that his dancing style was a particularly important factor for a nation choosing the next leader of the free world. However McCain, who has been lagging badly in the polls and some feared might resort to desperate smear tactics, again praised Obama at a rally in Ohio. ‘Just picture it for a second. If you voted for Obama, you’d have a really good runner in The White House. I can just picture him sprinting round a track or playing basketball, because that is one American who is really good at sport. And I envy those lucky visiting heads of state being served delicious jerk chicken with rice and peas. Yum!’

Senator McCain also praised the ‘modern street fashion style’ of his opponent, admitting that he himself never wore a baseball cap the wrong way round or baggy trousers with the waist hanging low to reveal his underwear. ‘If you elect Obama America’s financial problems will probably be over…’ he added. ‘If we just added up all those gold teeth in his family we could pay off the budget deficit just like that! So let’s just concentrate on the issues’ continued McCain ‘in the RACE for the WHITE house. Because this election is basically about these key four factors; policy, vision, leadership and the fact that Senator Obama is probably hung like a donkey.’
