Abu Hamza to dodge jail term with Broadway role
Lawyers acting on behalf of Abu Hamza are claiming that the Islamist leader may escape a lengthy prison term by appearing in a Broadway production. A spokesman for his Solicitors say that they are exploiting the infamous ‘ Kids From Fame loophole’.
‘It’s not just about escaping prison explained publicist Max Clifford ‘He sees this as a chance to repair his damaged reputation in the UK. You would too, if you’d had all that negative press. Good luck to him.’
It’s thought Hamza plans to shun stereotypical pirate-based parts, preferring to seek out more upmarket roles in Chekov’s The Seagull and Waiting for Godot, as well as The Child Catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Following the news, Gary McKinnon is said to be in talks to restart extradition proceedings, in the hope of landing a role in the rumoured ‘Big Bang Theory’ musical.
