Wills and Kate plan long vacation to recover from 2012′s holidays
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge say they are looking forward to getting their New Year’s Eve celebrations out of the way so that they can make a serious start on their summer holidays.
It is thought this year’s holiday will start sometime on Tuesday, 1st January 2013 and is expected to last around 365 days taking in lots of warm and sunny places around the world, especially when it’s cold here in the UK. Although the Royal couple are expecting their first baby in July the Duchess said they would treating the birth as no more than a ‘mild irritation’ and would simply give their first born to some Royal lackey to look after while they continued their quest to find the world’s sandiest beach.
A Palace spokesman defended press criticism by pointing out that the Royal couple were planning taking fewer holidays than in 2012, although he later admitted that this was mainly due to the fact that 2012 was a leap year.Click to send this story to a friend
