List of stations where customers can wait for delayed HS2 trains announced

The government has unveiled details of the next phase of the HS2 high-speed rail network, revealing which stations rail passengers in Northern England will be left waiting at while faster trains than we currently have are delayed.

The line is due to be opened by 2032 (expected 2047 due to signal failures) and will see passengers in Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield and Leeds stranded on platforms, waiting impatiently for a very fast train to arrive.

A number of retailers are looking into the possibility of opening up new stores on the platforms of the HS2 stations, in order to take advantage of the expected increase in passenger numbers with time on their hands while they wait for a replacement bus service.

In response Amazon are already exploring options to deliver to train stations and put the new stores out of business.
