Wiccans curse use of the term ‘Witch’
In a startling move today, a spokesperson for the Association of UK Wiccans has taken the unprecedented step of speaking out against the use of the word ‘witch’ to describe the late Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
Speaking to a press conference of Druids, fellow Wiccans and journalists, Grynfor Treveliss decried the ‘wicked misuse’ of the term in a derogatory manner.
‘We as Wiccans practice a religion of spirituality, oneness and consideration of others. The principle of karma, or the power of three, is one of the founding tenets of our beliefs and as such, we encourage thought before action, in the knowledge that whatever we give out in this lifetime shall be visited upon us threefold in the next. Under no interpretation of our belief could Lady Thatcher be considered a witch.’
‘Especially,’ he continued, ‘since the thought of her being reincarnated is far too scary to contemplate.’
