Millwall FC to segregate home fans from each other

Following the successful segregation of home and away fans which for years has prevented trouble at football matches, Millwall FC has today announced, in response to the violence at Wembley stadium on Saturday, that it will keep each home supporter in a separate stand, with lines of police and stewards placed along gangways to prevent them attacking each other.

‘We believe this will help restore the confidence of the public in attending our matches,’ said a club spokesman. ‘The downside is that our maximum attendance will be reduced to four. On the upside, however, we expect a sell out for all our home games, except maybe when we play the Wolves.’
